Rachel is an artist based in North Yorkshire who has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. Working primarily in oil paint and coloured pencil, her practice focuses on capturing the personality and presence of her subjects rather than simply their likeness.

Inspired by both animals and people, Rachel is drawn to the subtle details that reveal character — an expression, a posture, a quiet moment. Her work balances careful observation with an intuitive approach to colour and mark-making.
